Conversations About Change
Thanks to those who've tried this out for me so far  - your responses will still be part of the project, but it has now evolved, and I hope it will be much easier for people to do!
If you'd still like to have a conversation as before, please do, but I've also now created an online survey here that people can complete individually. There are not many questions, but I'd love it if you could think a bit about them, try to be really honest and tell me some nice stories...you can come back to the form and edit it before you submit it.
Please also share this with your mother or daughter as I'd love to have different generations represented, but you no longer have to do this, and you also no longer have to be a woman to complete it, so please share it with EVERYONE, especially friends/family of different ages and in different countries! The questions are in English but can be answered in any language.

Informação sobre o projeto aqui em Português.

This project is to gather conversations between mothers and daughters (or grandmothers, mothers and daughters - I’m interested in all ages of participant from older teenagers upwards) about their personal relationships with and experiences of social and political change. It’s an invitation to discuss how you both feel about those things and tell each other stories, rather than to have an abstract debate about specific issues.

The eventual aim is to bring all the conversations together in a book. I'm trying to get as much variety as possible in terms of age, background, nationality, lifestyle, family situation etc, so please share this with friends far and wide.
You can download a document here with more thoughts about how your chat might work and suggested questions, but I'm also happy for you to do your own thing.
You can e mail your recording or written notes to me (see contact page). If your chat wasn't in English I can arrange translation. Any questions just get in touch.
